Notification for Engagement of Trade Apprentices (Batch II) 2025-26

Brief Description

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Ramachandrapuram, Hyderabad, is inviting online applications from eligible ITI pass candidates for engagement as Trade Apprentices for a period of one year under the Apprentices Act 1961. A total of 300 vacancies are available across various trades. Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship or have work experience of one year or more are not eligible.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Basic: Matric/SSC pass.
  • Technical: ITI pass as a regular full-time candidate from an NCVT-recognized institute only.
  • Minimum Marks (ITI): 60% for General/EWS/OBC candidates and 55% for SC/ST candidates.
  • Year of Passing: Candidates must have completed ITI in or after 2023.

Age Limit (as on 01/09/2025)

  • Minimum Age: 18 years.
  • Maximum Age: 27 years for General candidates.
  • Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL), and 10 years for PwD candidates. An additional 3 years relaxation is available for dependents of BHEL employees.

Selection Process & Stipend

Selection Method

  • Selection will be based on the marks obtained in the ITI qualifying examination OR a Written Test.
  • If a written test is conducted, it will have 50 objective-type questions from the respective trade syllabus with no negative marking.
  • Preference will be given to applicants from Telangana state.

Monthly Stipend

  • Fitter, Machinist, Turner, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic: ₹10,000/- per month.
  • Welder, Carpenter, Foundryman: ₹9,700/- per month.

How to Apply (2-Step Process)

  1. Step 1: Apprenticeship Portal Registration: First, you must register yourself on the National Apprenticeship portal at `https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in`. After registration, search for and apply to "BHEL Ramachandrapuram Hyderabad" in your respective trade on the same portal.
  2. Step 2: BHEL Portal Application: After completing Step 1, visit the BHEL Hyderabad website at `https://hpep.bhel.com`.
  3. Create an account using your Apprenticeship Registration number from Step 1.
  4. Log in, fill the required details correctly, upload all necessary documents, and submit the application.
  5. Take a printout of the completed application for your records.

2. I have 1.5 years of work experience after my ITI. Can I apply?

No, only candidates who have passed ITI from an institute recognized by the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) are eligible to apply.

4. How will the selection be made? Will there be a written test?

5. Is there any preference for candidates from a particular state?
